For as long as we can remember, our dad, John, has been an unstoppable force. He is a proud Navy Veteran, a relentless worker, and the bedrock of our family.
After serving his country in the Navy, life tested him in the ultimate way, our mom passed away, leaving him to raise his three youngest daughters alone. As a single father of four girls, John worked harder than anyone we've ever known to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, and love in our home.
Nothing in this life has ever slowed him down, pushed him back, or broken his spirit.
Until now.
Recently, our dad suffered severe cardiac failure. His heart was functioning at a critical 30% blood-pumping capacity due to severe blockages and extensive heart valve disease. He recently underwent a massive, life-saving open-heart surgery a combined procedure where surgeons worked on three of his heart valves and bypassed severe artery blockages to give his heart a fighting chance.
Watching the strongest man we know go through such an intense medical battle has been overwhelming for our family, but John's fighting spirit is as strong as ever.
Because he is a Veteran, we are deeply grateful that the VA is covering his direct hospital and surgical bills.
However, medical coverage is only half the battle.
a strict, months-long recovery period where he cannot lift, bend, or push his body while his chest heals. After a lifetime of non-stop hard work to provide for us, John is now faced with daily bills piling up with no income coming in.
Our dad spent his life serving his country in the Navy and sacrificing everything to raise four daughters on his own. He has spent 66 years taking care of everyone else, and now it's our turn to take care of him.
We want John to focus 100% of his energy on healing his heart, getting through physical rehabilitation, and getting his strength back without the crushing stress of financial burden.
If you are able to donate $1, even a small amount, our family would be endlessly grateful. If you cannot donate, simply sharing John's story with your friends, family, and veteran networks means the world to us.
Thank you for supporting a proud Navy Veteran, a devoted single father, and a true fighter.
With love and gratitude,
John's 4 Daughters
