My Story — Nour from Gaza

My name is Nour, I am 27 years old, and I live in Gaza with my 60-year-old mother and my brother.

I lost my father when I was only three years old. Since then, my mother has carried the responsibility of raising our family through years of hardship.

Before the war, I studied accounting at university and completed three years of my education. My dream was to graduate, find a job, and support my mother. But the war destroyed our lives and forced me to stop studying. I still dream of returning to university and completing my degree.

Today, my family and I live in a tent. We have endured displacement, hunger, and extremely difficult living conditions. Last winter, rain flooded our shelter, and now I am desperately trying to raise $500 for a safer, waterproof tent before the heavy rains return. We also struggle to afford food, medicine, and other basic necessities.

It hurts to ask strangers for help, but I have very few options. I am not asking for a luxurious life, only safe shelter for my family and a chance to rebuild my future.
