I’m Obaida from Gaza : I Dream of a Normal Life and the Right to Build My Future

Hello, I’m Obaida, a 19-year-old man living in the Gaza Strip in Palestine.

At this age, the greatest aspirations of young people my age are supposed to be choosing a college major, planning for a future career, spending time with friends, and dreaming big about the future. But the reality we live in here has turned even the most basic rights to life and growth into daily struggles.

Despite all the challenges and harsh conditions surrounding us, I have never given up on my passion and desire to learn and make a positive impact. I am an engineering student striving to complete my education, develop my skills, and build a stable future that ensures safety and dignity for myself and my family.

I dream of a life like any young person in the world: a life in which I can access education, pursue my passions, and achieve my ambitions without being held back by obstacles for which I am not to blame.
