My name is Manar, and I am 25 years old from Gaza.

The war took almost everyone I loved. I lost my father and two brothers, leaving only my mother and me to face life alone.

Today, we are struggling to survive in a small rented apartment that we can barely afford, while my mother's health continues to deteriorate.

Today, our family consists of only two people:

👩 Manar (25 years old) – A university student whose education was interrupted after the war destroyed our home and future.

👩‍🦳 My Mother (52 years old) – She suffered a serious eye injury during the early days of the war and urgently needs ongoing medical treatment and regular examinations.

💔 My Father – Killed during the war.

💔 My Two Brothers – One was killed before the war, and another lost his life during the conflict.

Now, only my mother and I remain.

💔 Our Story

Before the war, we had a home, a family, and dreams for the future.

Everything disappeared in an instant.

Our house was completely destroyed, burying all our belongings beneath the rubble—our furniture, clothing, personal memories, and everything we had built over the years.

When we tried to return, we found only destruction.

⚠️ The walls had collapsed.

⚠️ Rainwater floods what remains of the house.

⚠️ There is no electricity or basic infrastructure.

⚠️ The entire neighborhood has been devastated.

With nowhere else to go, my mother and I were forced to rent a very small apartment simply to have a roof over our heads.

Every month, we live in fear of eviction because we struggle to pay the rent.

👁️ My Mother's Health

My mother's eye was seriously injured during the early bombardments.

Her vision continues to worsen, and she urgently needs:

👁️ Specialist examinations.

💊 Medication.

🩺 Ongoing treatment and follow-up care.

Watching her suffer while being unable to afford her treatment is one of the greatest pains I carry.

🎓 My Future Was Interrupted

I was studying at university before the war.

Today, I have no books, no income, and no way to continue my education.
