Help a Mother and Her Four Children Rebuild Their Lives

I am a widowed mother of four children in Gaza, struggling to provide food, medical care, and a safe home for my children after losing my husband during the war. Your support can help us survive and rebuild our lives

The story

A Mother of Four, Left Alone After Losing Her Husband

My name is Reham Sami , and I am a mother of four children in Gaza. I never imagined that I would one day have to raise my children alone, without their father, while struggling just to provide them with the basic necessities of life.

Before the war, my husband was the only person supporting our family. He had been injured during the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000 and received a salary from the Ministry responsible for prisoners, martyrs and injured people. After the war began on October 7, 2023, his salary stopped because of the lack of available funds. Overnight, we lost our only source of income.

On August 14, 2026, our lives became even more painful. Our neighbors' house was targeted, and my daughter Aseel was injured. The injury affected her eye and caused neurological complications. She needs continued medical follow-up and treatment with a neurologist, but getting proper medical care has become extremely difficult.

As the war continued, our situation became worse. Food became scarce, and we reached a point where we had almost nothing left to survive on. My husband was forced to go to the aid distribution point in Netzarim to try to bring food home for our children.

He was injured there once and survived. But the second time, he never came home.

My husband was killed while going to seek food for his children.

Since then, I have become a widowed mother raising four children on my own. I have lost my husband, my children's father, and the person who carried the responsibility of our family.

Today, we live in a single room that contains our bathroom, kitchen and living space. This room was already in poor condition before the war, and it has now become unsafe and at risk of collapsing.

When it rains, water enters the room and my children and I are left surrounded by water with nowhere else to go.

I am not asking for a luxurious life. I am asking for the basic things every mother wishes to provide for her children: food, medicine, safety, and a place where they can sleep without fear.

My daughter Aseel needs medical follow-up and treatment. My other children need food and basic necessities. And our home needs urgent repairs or a safer place for us to live.

I created this fundraiser because I can no longer carry all of this alone.

Every donation, no matter how small, can help provide food, medical care, clothing and essential supplies for my children, and help us secure a safer place to live.

If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story. A simple share could reach someone who can help my children.

Thank you for taking the time to hear our story and for standing beside us.

How your support will help

The funds will be used to provide our family with basic necessities and a safer living situation, including:
- Food and drinking water for my four children
- Medical treatment and neurological follow-up for my daughter Aseel
- Medicines and other essential medical needs
- Clothing, hygiene supplies and children's necessities
- Repairing our damaged room or helping us secure safer accommodation
- Other essential daily expenses for our family
Every contribution will help us meet one of these urgent needs and give my children a little more safety and stability.
