My name is Maram Al-Ali, I am 28 years old, and I am the eldest of 7 siblings aged between 10 and 28. As the eldest, I feel a huge responsibility toward my family, a burden that the war has multiplied tenfold.
We were forcibly displaced from northern Gaza when heavy bombardment forced us to leave everything behind. Our home and all our cherished belongings were completely destroyed. We have been displaced 5 times, and for a period, we lived in a tent over the rubble. Eventually, we made it to Deir Al-Balah, where a kind woman allowed us to stay in an apartment without doors or windows—yet it at least shelters us from the harsh cold and heavy rains.
I am a medical graduate, but when I returned from Egypt, I was forced to leave my certificates and documents behind. Without these documents, I cannot apply for a formal job. Nevertheless, I volunteer my time and effort at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, helping the wounded and supporting the medical staff as much as I can.
I need your help, and my family is in desperate need of you. We lack the basic necessities of life—no home, no nutritious food, and no warm clothing. All we hope for is to live with dignity. On behalf of my family, I appeal to you for your generous financial and emotional support. Any amount, no matter how small, will mean the world to us and give us hope to keep going.
Thank you for your kind hearts and support.
