Help Shaima’s Family Survive and Care for Their Newborn Daughter

My name is Shaima, and I am from Gaza. For four long years, I held onto one precious dream — becoming a mother. After years of waiting, treatment, and heartbreak, my little daughter finally came into my life. She is the greatest blessing I have ever received.

But instead of bringing her home to a safe and warm place, I welcomed her into a tent.

My newborn daughter is already suffering from painful skin problems because of the extreme heat, harsh conditions, and life inside the tent. She needs diapers, milk, medicine, and basic baby necessities every day. As winter approaches, I am deeply worried because she does not even have enough warm clothes to protect her from the cold.

My husband is also still suffering from his leg injury and needs continued medical treatment. Because of his condition and our circumstances, he cannot provide us with the stable life our family desperately needs.

I am also trying to continue my education and build a better future for my children, but surviving each day has become our biggest challenge.

I waited four years to hold my daughter in my arms. I never imagined that her first months of life would be spent in a tent, struggling with conditions no baby should have to endure.
